MUST use the included hex wrench to secure the base firmly;Rotate the top circular wood (with built-in nut) clockwise.

To disassemble for accessing the inner ball: Do NOT pry the top circular wood by hand. Instead:

Secure the base with the hex wrench.Rotate the top piece counterclockwise to unscrew easily.

Never skip fixing the base with the wrench—this prevents structural damage.
